Triple limb amputee...
John Masson's Special Forces teammates returned from Afghanistan. He waited to get awarded the purple heart for losing both his legs and an arm after stepping on a land mine. He wanted to be with his team in Fort Bragg.
Warrior SOS received a note that John hugged his teammate and shared his love for them. Such love among brothers could most certainly make soft hearts of any experienced soldier.
Here's a video link to an amateur video of his homecoming from Walter Reed, fitted with another arm so he can use the wheel chair. http://usoonpatrol.org/archives/2011/01/28/john-masson-a-heros-homecoming
The photo above is from a Hawks game John was invited to. They incorrectly stated he was a double amputee, but regardless, what a wonderful thing the Black Hawks did to honor him. We hope there are many more hero "Thank You's" like that!
